The municipality of Alpujarra de la Sierra lies on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the houses look out towards the Mediterranean sea in the distance. Its terraced farmlands are watered by the melting snow from the higher peaks of the mountains, giving rise to a high-altitude oasis of greenery above the arid foothills below. These mountains are home to thousands of wildflowers which nectar honeybees greatly enjoy.
The taste of our Mountain Honey is intense with a strong floral aroma and hints of thyme. This is because thyme is the predominant flower in that area.
This mountain honey is a great energy booster. It contains traces of essential vitamins and minerals. It is also a good remedy for coughs and may ease up some stomach discomforts
