Arbutus Honey (strawberry tree honey) is very balanced and thorough tasting honey, as you open the jar you will be met with an intense, ripe coffee aroma. As you put a spoon of this honey to your mouth, starting off with a short-lasting but bitter kick, it slowly cycles through familiar flavours with short notes of dark chocolate and a hint of malt, ending with a nostalgic tone of butterscotch.
This particular honey has many therapeutic properties and is popularly used as a diuretic, anti-diarrhoea, anti-asthmatic (for bronchial infections), urinary antiseptic and to improve blood circulation.
